At the Faculty of Education, Institute of Education, the
Chair (W3) of Education / Primary Education
is to be filled at the earliest possible date.
We are looking for a professional who will represent the field of primary education in its entire breadth and thereby interlink teaching, research and school practice in a transdisciplinary way. You (m/f/x) will focus your research and teaching on the didactics of primary school teaching as well as on teaching and professional research, possibly with references to the theory and history of primary school. In addition, we would like to see a focus on research in teaching/learning laboratories. You are responsible for organizing and coordinating the degree program for Teacher Training – Elementary Schools, which concludes with the state examination. You are to strengthen the didactic skills of prospective teachers, which are tailored to the challenges of teaching at the elementary school level. You will work together with the other Chairs of Primary Education to work on the continuous development of the Education and Research Lab Primary School (LuFo). We expect you to take active part in the Center for Teacher Education and Educational Research (ZLSB) and in interdisciplinary work as part of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at TUD as well as in academic self-administration.
We are looking for a highly committed and responsible research personality with relevant academic teaching expertise who has already successfully acquired third-party funding projects. Your research is characterized by a clear empirical focus, sophisticated research methods and an international outlook. You should take a particular interest in the promotion of early-career researchers. We expect you to have a relevant degree, relevant publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals, work experience in third-party funded projects, an international scientific network and excellent academic qualifications (very good doctorate, habilitation or qualifications equivalent to a habilitation). The requirements for appointment, the official duties and the administrative status are governed by §§ 59, 69, 71 of the Institutions of Higher Education Act in the Free State of Saxony (SächsHSG) and the Regulations on Duties and Responsibilities of Institutes of Higher Education (HSDAVO).
