At the Faculty of Computer Science, the Institute of Applied Computer Science invites applications for the

Chair (W2) of Inclusive Human-Computer Interaction

to be filled as of April 1, 2026.

You (m/f/x) will represent the field of human-computer interaction with a focus on accessibility and inclusion in research and teaching. The position offers an excellent environment within TUD and DRESDEN-concept as a research alliance of TUD and local non-university research and cultural institutions. In addition to interdisciplinary research activities and cooperation at national and international level, close professional cooperation within the Faculty of Computer Science, with other university institutions and with partner institutions under the umbrella of DRESDEN-concept is desired. You will be expected to participate in the Working Group Services Disability and Studies (AG SBS) and in the interdisciplinary Center for Demography and Diversity (CDD) of TUD and to participate in the academic self-administration and committees of the Faculty of Computer Science. Teaching duties include compulsory lectures in the area of appointment and contributions to the degree programs of the Faculty of Computer Science as well as for students of other subjects. It is desirable to be involved in the establishment of new degree programs or courses in the subject area. We also expect your willingness and ability to teach courses in German and English.

We are looking for a personality with an outstanding track record in several of the following research fields and subject areas:

Substantial experience and internationally recognized scientific work in several of these fields are expected, as well as extensive high-quality publication activity, experience in the successful independent acquisition of third-party funding and in project management. The requirements for appointment, the official duties and the administrative status are governed by §§ 59, 69, 71 of the Institutions of Higher Education Act in the Free State of Saxony (SächsHSG) and the Regulations on Duties and Responsibilities of Institutes of Higher Education (HSDAVO).
